Psilocybe PAJARITOS

Already dipped your toes into the psychedelic waters of the psilocybe MEXICANA? Well why not wade out a bit further and follow the sweet song of the psilocybe PAJARITOS? They are known for their joyful and life affirming-trips, and hence, are a perfect truffle for a group of friends to enjoy together. A little stronger than the psilocybe MEXICANA, and about on par with the psilocybe TAMPANENSIS, the name ‘Parjaritos’ derives from its local tag in Guatemala, the Spanish for ‘little birds’ — reflecting their freeing, euphoric, and clear trip.

Although not the softest of our truffles, they are light enough for a beginner to try out, at a low dose. Whatever your experience level our psilocybe PAJARITOS magic truffle will always provide a blissful trip.  

A psilocybe PAJARITOS magic truffle is not actually a truffle. It is a scelerotia — the underground food reserves of a fungus, which is a hardened mass of mycelium. As the psilocybe PAJARITOS is the sclerotia of a psilocybin mushroom, it contains all the same psychedelic properties as one. It’s basically a magic mushroom growing under the ground! The PAJARITOS truffle specifically is small and dark, although they often clump together and form a larger ball of truffles. Cosy!

If you want a warm song to bloom in your heart, the psilocybe PAJARITOS is for you. Noted for its pleasant and affirming trips that work well in social situations, it fits most experience ranges. We rate it around 60/100 in terms of strength and potency. You will experience mild and enjoyable visuals, and like their namesake ‘little birds’, you will feel fluttering, twittering waves of joy within you. Inspired and unexpected thoughts and ruminations will soar through your mind and you will feel a closeness to nature — whether you’re outside or not!

The PAJARITOS magic truffle is on the lighter scale, psychedelic-wise, but will still provide a euphoric trip. The dosages we recommend are: 

• For the beginner we advise 3-5g of fresh PAJARITOS magic truffles. 
• For the more experienced we advise 10g of fresh PAJARITOS magic truffles.
• For the expert we recommend 15g+ of fresh PAJARITOS magic truffles.

You can either chew your fresh magic truffles, or make a tea by infusing them in hot (not boiling) water and drinking it.

Within 15 to 30 minutes you will begin to feel the effects of your magic truffles. Waves of euphoria and the urge to laugh will overcome you. You will begin to see cool visual effects and experience heightened senses. Your trip has begun…

The psilocybe PAJARITOS was first recorded in Guatemala, and has been used by the indigenous peoples of Central and South America for many years. It is a very close relative of the iconic psilocybe MEXICANA, the first magic mushroom to be brought to wider Western consciousness in 1957. It was featured in a LIFE magazine article which presented a magic mushroom ceremony, a continuation of the ancient spiritual and religious practices of the Aztecs. The Aztecs referred to psilocybe MEXICANA and its cousins, such as the PAJARITOS as ‘teotlnanácatl’ or ‘flesh of the gods’ due to their mystical psychedelic effects. The powers of ‘teotlnanácatl’ continue to this day.
